Ottawa, ON – The Hon. Pierre Poilievre, Conservative Shadow Minister for Jobs and Industry, and Pierre Paul-Hus, Conservative Shadow Minister for Public Services and Procurement, released the following statement on the government’s investment in Sanofi:
 
“Today’s announcement will not help Canadians get a COVID-19 vaccine faster. This Liberal government left Canada helpless and unprepared for the pandemic and then wasted 100 days waiting for Communist China to provide vaccines that never came.
 
“That is why Canada is at the back of the pack on vaccines.
 
“Canada must become self-reliant, stand on our own feet by unleashing the massive productive forces of a free enterprise economy in which workers and businesses make more, do more, and earn more.
 
“Conservatives will secure our country by making Canada self-reliant and ending our dependence on foreign countries like China.”
