Ottawa, ON – James Bezan, Conservative Shadow Minister for National Defence, Pierre Paul-Hus, Conservative Shadow Minister for Public Services and Procurement, and Leona Alleslev, MP for Aurora—Oak Ridges—Richmond Hill, released the following statement on the Liberals passing a motion at the Defence Committee ending the investigation into Trudeau’s cover-up of sexual misconduct in the Canadian Armed Forces:

“Today, the Liberals passed a motion at the Defence Committee, with the support of the Bloc Québécois, to end the investigation into Justin Trudeau’s cover-up of sexual misconduct in the Canadian Armed Forces.

“This is par for the course for the Trudeau Liberals. Their main goal is to hide the truth from Canadians and ensure that they don’t get answers. It’s clear that the Liberals will go to extraordinary lengths to make sure the truth doesn’t get out.

“There are still crucial witnesses that have yet to testify on Trudeau’s cover-up of sexual misconduct in the Canadian Armed Forces. The Liberals are clearly scared of what these witnesses have to say.

“Conservatives will continue to fight back against the Liberal cover-up and get answers for Canadians.”
