Regina: Considered for permanent Air Traffic Control closure.

Regina, we must stand up with a united voice and demand that the Federal government reverse its decision to shutter Regina’s Air Traffic Control Tower. This government claims that their decision to close Regina’s air traffic control tower won’t affect safety for aircraft passengers and military personnel. They also claim that this decision has not yet been made, yet countless unionized government workers have been receiving layoff notices as far back as December 2020. The lack of honesty and transparency throughout this process is an insult to the people of Saskatchewan and our military heroes at the 15 wing base in Moose Jaw, who rely on the Regina tower for critical real-time navigational feedback. After raising this issue in the house on countless occasions, it’s clear that this Liberal government simply isn’t listening. They refused to even acknowledge the layoff notices that workers have been receiving in the mail. Saskatchewan deserves better. By adding your voice to this petition, you amplify our continued demands to safeguard the interests of Saskatchewan travelers and our brave air force pilots alike.
